Though it barely feels like the witching season is upon us I have spent the majority of October taking inspiration from some of pop cultures spellbinding sisters.  Mid-length skirts paired with black basics and booties give an outfit an instant vibe straight from the coven.

Today’s look is a little Louise from Teen Witch meets Tory from Saved by the Bell, which I think may be my new favorite way to twist things up.  I got this silver Philosophy skirt in my latest Gwynnie Bee box and could’ve have gone an entirely different way with this style wise (I’m looking at you ballet flats) but decided it needed to be matched up with my new favorite booties – a steal that I found on Amazon!  I almost walked out of the house sans leather jacket but the sky seemed a bit ominous despite me dreading a sweat session on the subway.

This skirt is a rent and return piece for me but one I will definitely closet again.  I love the way the material falls on me and sways as I walk.  Paired with a sheer blouse and ballet flats I think this skirt could have a totally different appeal.

  • Love, love, LOVE those boots! You’ve got some serious style. I’ll be coming back for more inspiration. Where do you rent your clothes from? I have always wanted to try that.
