Anyone else ready to retire the off the shoulder and cold shoulder blouses? I feel like all the tops I purchased in 2017 were either of those two and if we’re being honest here they are not my favorite trend when it comes to fit. Fortunately, with the new year comes new trends and one that I have been noticing lately is asymmetrical collars.
I remember back when I was a freshman in high school one shoulder tops and dresses were a thaaaaang. I will never forget the monogrammed ‘J’ one shoulder dress I wore to homecoming on one of the rare years I attended. So when I saw the trend was making a comeback I was a little nostalgic and decided to take a dive into the trend end.
Aside from the one shoulder cut, I have been seeing and purchasing a lot of styles with one shoulder off the shoulder cuts. What I love about this neckline is that you can get away with wearing a regular bra or a strapless bralette and don’t necessarily have to commit to the always uncomfortable strapless bra.
For Easter I paired this JcPenney blouse with a pair of ripped jeans for a look that was ready to indulged in holiday desserts. Another styling option I want to experiment with is with a midi skirt…hmmmm.
